ZZ Top Set Two Dates at Lubbock’s Buddy Holly Hall
Wasn't it sad when Dusty Hill was injured back in April 2016 and couldn't play the band's Lubbock, Texas show? Wouldn't it be awesome if you had two chances to see them again?
The legendary ZZ Top will play two shows at the all-new, totally fantabulous Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences: November 27th and 28th, 2021.
Here's where we come in with some sweet bonuses, like free tickets.
We'll be giving away a pair of tickets on the 94.5 FMX, Awesome 98 and Lonestar 99.5 mobile apps, which is three pairs in total. If you download and turn on push notifications for all three apps, you'll get three chances to win. We'll also be sending out an exclusive presale code through the apps that'll be good on Thursday, June 24th starting at 10 a.m. CT.
Tickets for both concerts will go on sale at the venue's website the exact same time: Friday, June 25th at 10 a.m. CT.
Wow -- two chances to see ZZ Top up close and personal here in Lubbock. We think these two nights are going to sell out pretty fast. After all, two ZZ Top shows don't mean that twice as many people are going to get to see them, because there will be some folks who will take advantage of a legendary opportunity to see them two nights in a row.
It's been a minute since we've actually seen ZZ Top in the Hub City. Keep in mind it was five years ago that the Lubbock show got scuttled. Unless I missed something, I think the last ZZ Top show that actually happened was the one with Lynyrd Skynrd (I'm sure one of you will straighten me out if I'm wrong). Whether it was that last one here or not, it certainly was epic, with the opportunity to hear "LaGrange" and "Freebird" during the same show.
You're going to have to be on your toes if you want to score yourself a righteous ticket to check out ZZ Top on what would be their 50th anniversary tour.
