On Christmas Day 2020, a Lubbock woman was apparently thrown out of a moving vehicle by someone she was trying to break up with.

KAMC News reports that Lubbock Police were called to the 7400 block of 19th Street at around 11 a.m. in the morning. The woman, who hasn't been publicly identified, said she had been thrown out of a moving vehicle.

She went on to tell officers that she and the suspect were dating for around two years, but she wanted to break up.

After telling the suspect this, she was apparently struck in her face and shoved into a wall. She went outside in an attempt to escape, but she was grabbed by her hair and forced into her own vehicle. The woman's 1-year-old daughter was sitting in the backseat of the car.

The suspect was driving along 19th Street when the woman said she wanted to break up again. It's then said that the suspect opened the driver side door and pulled the woman out of the vehicle as it was still moving.

According to the police report obtained by KAMC, "[The woman] staggered from the lanes of travel to the edge of the roadway and collapsed. She lost consciousness due injuries received when she was thrown from the moving vehicle by [the suspect]."

Police immediately began looking for the vehicle and the child, who was still inside. Soon after, police located the child still inside the vehicle after reports came in of an abandoned vehicle near 20th Street and Avenue V.

The suspect has yet to be publicly identified and has also yet to be arrested.
