Today is going to be cold day across Lubbock, and the South Plains. Only the western South Plains will have Wednesday highs approach 32 degrees.

Multiple, Winter Weather Advisories have been issued by the Lubbock office of the National Weather Service for parts of the Central, Southern and Eastern South Plains, extending into Texoma and the Big County. Most South Plains counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory through at least 9am. In addition, as you can see on the photo of the weather radar, a possible wintry mix, east of I-27/US 87 could create hazardous driving conditions for most of Wednesday.

Forecast high temps for Wednesday include: 26 in Lubbock, 23 in Plainview, 21 in Matador, 24 in Post, 23 in Spur, and 29 in Brownfield.
