One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot near a Lubbock convenience store.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the shots fired call just before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24th, near the Stripes gas station by the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q.
The victim at the scene was taken to University Medical Center suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers say a suspect was taken into custody but no identities have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
