TTU Stays in Top 10 After Doing What They Hadn’t Done Since 1996
This weekend was big for Texas Tech hoops as they secured a win in Austin, Texas for the first time since 1996 beating the Longhorns 68-62 on Saturday. It wasn't Jarrett Culver providing the lion share of the offense though as Matt Mooney went off for 22 points on 8-10 shooting.
Culver, Davide Moretti, and Tariq Owens all finished in double digits as well. Owens also added 4 blocks to his season total.
The Red Raiders keep the momentum going after the big win in Austin by staying put in the AP top 25. The Texas Tech squad will spend it's second straight week at number 8 in the country as they play Iowa State at home and Baylor on the road this weekend.
At this point in the season, the only thing that matters is wins and losses, the rankings will find their own way, but it is nice to see Texas Tech with such a small number beside their name for weeks at a time.
