The Red Raider baseball team had three more players tabbed as All-Americans this week as Jace Jung, Nate Rombach and Cal Conley were named to the Freshman All-American team by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

This is the first time since 2016 multiple players were Freshman All-Americans in a single season and the 10th, 11th and 12th Red Raiders to be honored by Collegiate Baseball as Freshmen. The three honors led the big 12 and tied for most in the Nation.

Head coach Tim Tadlock has now had 14 Red Raiders earn Freshman All-America, with at least one honoree in eight of his nine seasons as skipper in Lubbock. The three awards for 2020 set a program record.

After redshirting in 2019, Conley hit .371 while starting 18 games at shortstop. Jung kept his last name at third base but introduced broke out of the shadow early as he collected Big 12 Newcomer of the Week after opening weekend going 8 for 16 with two home runs and 13 RBI.

Rombach erupted out of the gates as well, earning multiple National Player of the Week Awards and Big 12 Player of the Week following opening weekend when he connected on five home runs and drove in 15 RBI. He finished the season leading the Big 12 in home runs and RBI.
