There Were Two Aggies and a Plaque…
I love Aggie jokes. I know, the Aggies left the conference back in 2011 after beating Texas Tech one final time. That doesn't make me like the jokes any less. In fact, the Aggies joining the SEC probably just makes me love the jokes even more!
Here are a few of my favorites:
Did you hear about the Aggie who won a gold medal at the Olympics?
He was so proud of the award that he decided to get it bronzed.
Did you hear about the skeleton they just found in an old building at College Station?
It was the 1938 hide and seek champion.
What are the best four years of a Aggie's life?
Third grade.
An Aggie walks into a doctor's office with a toad sitting on his head. The doctor asks "what seems to be the problem?" The toad replies "Can you burn this wart off of my ass?"
This week we got a real-life Aggie joke, and you know great art imitates real life, as Texas A&M presented Jimbo Fisher with a dateless National Championship plaque.
That's right. They pre-gifted Jimbo Fisher a National Championship plaque for the championship he hasn't even won yet.
It sounds like the setup for an Aggie zinger like the million Aggie jokes that have been told before it.
There were two Aggies and a plaque. One Aggie turns to the other and says, "I've figured out a way to make your tenure a joke before your first game." The second Aggie smiles and laughs with dead eyes, wishing he were still a Seminole.
It's hilarious because it's true.
This isn't the first time the Aggies looked like a joke this week either. Tim Brewster, a Texas A&M assistant coach threw this image on Twitter, bragging about his head coach's prowess with DBs who are now in the NFL.
Former Seminole and "protege" of Jimbo Fisher, Jalen Ramsey, who is now a Jacksonville Jaguar, set the record straight.
It's been a great week for people who love to laugh at the Texas A&M Aggies.
