The Texas Tech men's basketball team got back in the win column last night as they took down the Houston Cougars in the consolation game of the Progressive Legends Classic.  Tubby Smith and company would open up a 15 point lead at halftime and never look back as they went on to win by a final score of 76-64.

Senior forward Jaye Crockett would lead the way for the Red Raiders as he cashed in a double-double in the win.  He finished the game with 16 points along with 12 rebounds to help Texas Tech never trail in the contest.  Tubby Smith's squared would lead as much as 19 as they were aided by the Cougars' sloppiness with the ball. Houston committed seven turnovers in the first half that the Red Raiders turned into 12 points.  Along with turning the ball over, former Texas Tech coach James Dickey's team struggled defensively and on the board. The Red Raiders would shoot 51.9% from the field and were able to out-rebounded the Cougars 46-26 in Tuesday nights win.

With the win, the team is now 5-2 on the young season.  Tubby Smith and the Red Raiders will get back in action this Friday after Thanksgiving as they take on UTSA.  Tip off for that game is set for 7pm from the United Spirit Arena.
