The Texas Rangers sit just one game back of the Cleveland Indians as the end to the regular season draws near.  They have just their final three games to try and pass the Indians for the final American League wildcard spot.  They will need to take care of their division foe the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim if they want to stay in that hunt.

Now Texas will send starter Alexi Ogando (Pictured on the left) to the mound opposite former Ranger C.J. Wilson.  Ogando spent much of the year on the DL but has come on strong for the manager Ron Washington as he is 3-2 in his last ten starts with a 2.61 ERA along with 23 strikeouts.  He will need continue that trend if he wants to get the Rangers a chance to make the MLB playoffs.

With the season ending this Sunday, Texas needs as much help as they can get to make the 2013 playoffs.  Even if they win out, if Cleveland does the same, the year will come to an end.  First pitch for Friday's game is set for 7:05 pm from the Ballpark in Arlington.
