The San Antonio Spurs went into game five of the NBA Finals knowing how crucial a win was.  They knew that if they lost, they would have to go and win two games in Miami which is not an easy task.  That is not the case however as they took care of business with an impressive 114-104 win over the Heat.

Manu Ginobili finally gave an all star caliber performance as he set the tone for the Spurs from opening tip.  He was constantly attacking the basket and creating shots for others as he finished the game with 24 points and added 10 assists.  Danny Green (Pictured on the Right) also played a big role as he had another stellar game with 24 points and 6 rebounds.  He also broke Ray Allen's NBA Finals record for three point shots made in a series with 25.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade both had 25 points in the loss but neither had the aggressiveness that they had in game four.  Ray Allen did have his best game of the series as he had 21 points but it was all for not in the loss.  The series shifts back to Miami on Tuesday night with tip-off coming at 8:00 pm on ABC.
