The Lubbock Christian Eagles Set Sights on State Championship
15 years ago the Lubbock Christian Eagles wrapped up an undefeated season led by a powerful offense and underrated defense. The 2004 team featured a number of two-way stars and an incredible senior class and head coach Hutch Haley. Now, in 2019, another senior class has led their team to a 13-0 record and is on the verge of winning it's own State Championship with Chris Softley.
The 2019 Eagles are led by Cash Howard, Alex Timmons and Alex Lack who combined for nearly 5,000 total yards and almost 60 touchdowns in the regular season. Defensively it's a similar cast of characters led by Zeke Lott who finished with 132 total tackles in the regular season setting the tone for a defense that allowed less than 200 yards per game.
