Big 12 Announces Its 2017 Baseball Television Schedule
The Big 12 has announced its television schedule for 2017.
Texas Tech and TCU will be prime time viewing after playing each other in two out of the last three college world series.
The home series for Texas Tech will be on April 28th, 29th and 30th. The Friday night game on the 28th will be on FS1 at 7 p.m. The Saturday and Sunday games will be on ESPNU and are slated for 3 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Of course, college baseball schedules are notoriously fickle, so the times may change.
The Big 12 also announced that the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship Tournament will be shown on the Fox Sports networks. The tournament is set for the week of May 24th through the 28th.
TCU leads the conference with eight Big 12 games on TV this season, including games against Oklahoma State and Texas, along with the Texas Tech series. The Longhorns follow with five appearances and Oklahoma State with four. Every team will play at least once, except for Kansas State.
Additional television appearances throughout the season are available through institutional third-tier agreements and will be announced at a later date.
The Red Raiders open their home schedule on February 21st with a one-game series against New Mexico.
