Texas Tech’s Alex Torres Named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Texas Tech wide receiver Alex Torres was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List today.  Torres is a junior who is coming off of a limited 2010 season.

Torres last year played in 11 games with 39 catches for 481 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to the best wide receiver in college football.  Former Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree won the award in 2007 and 2008.

Other players of note on this year's watch list include: Justin Blackmon from Oklahoma State, Mike Davis from Texas, Ryan Swope from Texas A&M, Jeff Fuller from Texas A&M and Ryan Broyles from Oklahoma.
