Texas Tech Tops North Texas 60-45 on Monday Night
The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule on Monday night as they took down North Texas by a score 60-45. Devaugntah Williams scored 14 points in the win as Tech improved to 10-0 at home this season.
The Red Raiders (10-3) broke a two-game losing streak, which came by a combined 31 points to Loyola (Chicago) and Houston down in Las Vegas. They now turn their focus to Big 12 play, which starts with a home game Saturday against the #11 ranked Texas Longhorns.
"There are some things we need to get better at - obviously taking care of the basketball," Texas Tech head coach Tubby Smith said. "We can't turn it over 19 times against Texas or anybody else and expect to win."
Tipoff for their match up against the Longhorns is set for Saturday at 1pm from the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock and can be seen on ESPNU.
