Texas Tech Athletics officials have released the video regarding the incident that took place during a pick-up basketball game at the Student Recreation Center on June 28th.  That incident was the confrontation that occurred between incoming freshman football player Nigel Bethel and senior basketball player Amber Battle.  Now Texas Tech immediately removed Bethel from the football program and suspended Battle through November from basketball activities.

But yesterday the attorney for Nigel Bethel says his client was "cleared" by a Lubbock Grand Jury and will not be charged in connection with the incident.  The grand jury went a step further in their support of Bethel in the form of writing directly to Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt, recommending that he be reinstated to the football program.  The letter stated, "We desire to see Mr. Bethel's scholarship re-instated.  If he is re-instated, it is our belief that his consequences should not be greater than those of Ms. Battle."

The video below, which was provided by KCBD.com, is the video that was released by Texas Tech that shows the confrontation that took place.
