The Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball team will head north of the border Saturday morning for a "Canadian Foreign Tour". This tour will allow the team to get some valuable time together as they prepare for the 2015-2016 season.
The Red Raiders will play four games in five days against McGill University (Sunday – 3 p.m. CT), Laval University (Monday – 6 p.m. CT), Carleton University (Wednesday – 6 p.m. CT) and Ottawa University (Thursday – 6 p.m. CT). Dr. James Naismith, the inventor of the sport of basketball, graduated from McGill University in 1887.

There will also be some sight seeing as the Red Raiders are going to tour Olympic Stadium, Chinatown, the Notre-Dame Basilica and Old Montreal.
Coming off a 13-16 season Texas Tech will definitely be using this time in Canada as a chance to get better as a team. Led by a sophomore class including Norense Odiase and Zach Smith, this team is trending positive despite the win totals so far during the Tubby Smith era.
