After starting Big 12 conference play with a victory at TCU, the Texas Tech men's basketball team was unable to continue on their winning ways as they fall to the Baylor Bears 82-48 last night.

Jaye Crockett led Tech in scoring with 13 points.  Josh Gray contributed with eight points and Josh Gray rounded out the scoring with seven points.  Tech shot 30.5 percent from the field making 18 of 59 shots attempted.  Adding more bad news, Tech shot 20.8 percent from 3-point range making only five of 24 3-pointers attempted.

On the other side of the court, Pierre Jackson led Baylor in scoring with 18 points.  Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin contributed with 17 points each.  Brady Heslip rounded out the scoring with 11 points.  Baylor went on a 24-5 run in the middle of the first half to break the game wide open.  They shot 53.6 percent from the field making 30 of 56 shots attempted.  Baylor also shot 57.1 percent from 3-point range making eight of 14 3-pointers attempted.

The Red Raiders will have to figure out a way to get pass this loss in order to get pass their next test when they take on Big 12 powerhouse Kansas at home on Saturday.  Tip off for that game is at 3 pm.
