Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Cracks Top 25
The Texas Tech Men's Basketball Team improved their record to 6-0 on the year with a big win over Savannah St. Saturday evening 103 to 69. The Red Raiders are riding a huge wave of momentum after dismantling the then #20 Northwestern Wildcats 85-49 in the championship game of the Hall Of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.
Continuing to ride that wave of momentum, the Red Raiders have been ranked in the AP polls for the first time since the 2009 season. The Red Raiders almost cracked the top 25 last week but with a couple more convincing wins since then, Tech is now the #22 team in the nation.
With Tech in the top 25 now, that makes five Big 12 teams that are also ranked in the Top 25, Kansas (#2), Baylor (#16), West Virginia (#19), Texas Tech (#22), TCU (#23). The next time the #22 Red Raiders take the floor will be on Thursday when they take on the 5-1 Seton Hall Pirates at Madison Square Garden. That game will be televised nationally on FS1.
