Texas Tech’s Lady Raider basketball team fell to New Mexico in their second game of the season.

New Mexico defeated Tech 65-61 on Thursday night at The Pit in Albuquerque.

Tech managed to keep the game within four points twice during the game, and once within three points with a little over a minute left in the game.

“We’re at our best when we have balance,” said Tech head coach Kristy Curry. “At Arizona State on Sunday, we had that. Tonight we didn’t.”

The Lady Raiders next play Lipscomb at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, beginning a seven-game homestand.
