Texas Tech Forces Another Game Against West Virginia
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have been navigating the Big 12 tournament this weekend and after losing their second game of the Tournament they have now won two straight and are just one game away from the Big 12 Tournament Championship game.
To get to where they are they beat Kansas State on Wednesday 7-4. Then they lost to Alek Manaoh and West Virginia on Thursday 1-5. To get back into the win column the Red Raiders beat the Kansas Jayhawks 7-5.
That would get them into a win or go home game against West Virginia on Saturday morning which they won 10-3 after a great relief appearance by Ryan Sublette who absolutely shut down the Mountaineers for 4.1 innings only giving up one run on two hits. Dane Haveman would also come out and have a nice outing keeping the mountaineers at bay to allow the Red Raiders to play another day. Haveman would finish the game not allowing any runs and only four hits in 3 plus innings.
Offensively, both Josh Jung and Cam Warren hit homeruns and seven different Red Raiders notched RBIs.
Texas Tech and West Virginia will finish their business after the conclusion of the TCU vs Oklahoma State. If Oklahoma State beats TCU they'll await the winner of the Texas Tech West Virginia game for the Big 12 Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon.
