Texas Tech Athletics this morning announced that season tickets sales for the 2012 Red Raider Football season are now open to the public.

For the first time in school history, Texas Tech will host both Texas and Oklahoma in Big 12 Conference home games. Other Red Raider home games include Kansas, West Virginia, New Mexico and Northwestern State.

“The 2012 Red Raider football season promises to be exciting,” said Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt. “Jones AT&T Stadium offers one of the finest environments in all of college football and we have a great opportunity to provide record-setting attendance and support for our football program. With a tremendous home schedule, two consecutively ranked national recruiting classes and the return of so many players from a young team last year we look forward to kickoff of the 2012 campaign.”

The pricing for season tickets starts at $149. Season ticket holder benefits include the same reserved seat location for all six home games, opportunity to pre-order additional individual game tickets before they go on sale to the general public, Red Raider Club priority points, VIP card and much more.

Texas Tech is also offering a five-game family plan for $400. The family plan includes four (4) reserved seats to five home games (excludes Texas) in the north end zone (section 11). Each additional seat is only $100.

Group season tickets are also available for businesses wishing to purchase 20 or more reserved seats. Along with group season tickets, businesses, companies, and organizations also have an opportunity to reserve a tent space in Raider Village, a pre-game corporate hospitality area located just south of the ATC near gate 1. Businesses and organizations can also begin placing individual game group ticket deposits. To order group season tickets, reserve a spot in Raider Village, or to place a group ticket deposit, contact the Texas Tech Athletics Sales Team at (806)742-8300.

Season parking is available in Red Raider Club donor lots, at the United Spirit Arena, or at Raider Park. For more information on game-day parking, contact the Red Raider Club at (806)742-1196 or 1-877-554-3850 or logon to www.texastech.com/parking.

Texas Tech also states that fans will see price decreases in 13 sections in the stadium, ranging from $40 to $120 savings per seat. Pricing in six sections remains unchanged while 16 sections will see a modest $10 increase per seat. Four sections now have split pricing for lower and upper rows, resulting in an increase for the lower rows but a decrease for the upper rows.
