Texas Tech Football is ranked for the first time since the final poll of the 2009 season as the emerge at No. 22 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. Oklahoma fell from No. 1 to No. 9 in the USA Today Poll and from No. 3 to No. 11 in the AP Poll.

Oklahoma State defeated Mizzou yesterday 45-24  and moved to No. 4/AP3, Kansas State jumped to No. 12/10 after beating Kansas 59-21 yesterday, Texas A&M moved up to No. 15/16 after their 33-17 victory over Iowa State.

Texas Tech faces Iowa State this next week while Oklahoma is at Kansas State, Missouri at Texas A&M, Kansas at Texas, and Baylor at Oklahoma State.

LSU assumed the No. 1 spot in both major polls and will have the week off before taking on No. 2 Alabama November 5th in Tuscaloosa as the SEC landed 5 schools in the Top 25 along with the Big Ten and Big 12.

Houston moved up to No. 18/18 after beating Marshall 63-28 yesterday to improve to 7-0 and West Virginia fell from No. 14 to No. 24/25 after their devastating 49-23 road loss to Syracuse Friday night.
