Texas Tech Football Has Something for the Outlaw Sections at the Jones
During Texas Tech's dramatic 41-38 win over Iowa State there was some minimal chicanery going on in the student sections of Jones AT&T Stadium. Namely sections 22 and 23 were "kicked out of the game" after a "projectile" was thrown onto the field.
In reality, it's more accurate to say that those students just moved to the next section over and the projectile was just an empty water bottle as reported by Don Williams. At any rate, those two sections of students will now be labeled as outlaws on Saturday night against Oklahoma State.
While everyone else in the stadium is wearing black, these bad boys and girls will be branded as outcasts with "wanted" across their chests and their fearless gang leader Raider Red proudly displayed beneath it.
The shirts will be handed out on Saturday before the Oklahoma State game. Unfortunately, the shirts will only be available to students and will be given first come first serve. Have to get there early on Saturday.
The marketing on these shirts is brilliant, and it's not the first time Texas Tech has trolled the Big 12 after a litany of questionable calls in Iowa State's loss to the Red Raiders at home last weekend.
Speaking of new shirts, the Texas Tech football team was wearing new shirts as well that had Bowl Bound across the chest after the Red Raiders locked in their 6th win of the season in that Iowa State game last weekend.
Ezukanma got to Texas Tech in 2018, which started the current streak of bowless seasons for the Red Raiders. 2021 will hopefully start a new streak of bowl seasons.
