Texas Tech Falls in Stillwater to OSU by a Score of 66-35
The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team suffered their first big 12 loss of the year last night as they fell in Stillwater to Oklahoma State by a score of 66-35. Amber battle led all tech players as she scored 14 points, but as a team they shot just 10 of 43 from the floor and were outrebounded 46-17.
The #16 ranked Cowgirls (11-2, 1-1) led 36-14 at halftime and outscored Texas Tech by a 14-2 margin in the paint and 8-0 on fast breaks. Oklahoma State scored 21 points off 18 Lady Raider turnovers. Liz Donohoe added 10 points for the Cowgirls.
The loss drops Candi Whitaker and company to 11-3 on the year and 1-1 in conference plays while also snapping a 7 game win streak. Texas Tech will be back in action on Saturday as they host Oklahoma starting at 2pm from the United Supermarkets Arena.
