On the heels of one of the best starts in recent memory for Texas Tech Baseball (7-1), the Red Raiders moved up in two national polls on Monday.

Tim Tadlock's Red Raiders are now ranked 26th in both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association and Collegiate Baseball polls.

Last week, Texas Tech was ranked 30th in the NCBWA Poll and 28th in the Collegiate Baseball Poll.

After playing their first eight games at home, the Red Raiders now embark on a four-game road trip. They will play at Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, before playing three games against Houston (Feb. 28), Sam Houston State (Mar. 1) and No. 10 Rice (Mar. 2) at the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park.

All three games at the Houston College Classic will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Houston.
