Texas Tech baseball really likes hitting at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. So much so that the Red Raiders set a new program record by scoring 16 runs in the 2nd inning of its Tuesday game against New Mexico. Yes, you read that right: 16 runs in a single inning.

They won the game 28-2.

Twenty-one Red Raiders came to the plate in the 2nd inning with the first 12 hitters of the inning reaching base before the Lobos recorded an out.

Owen Washburn, Parker Kelly and Hudson White each came to bat three times in the inning.

The inning featured 11 hits and seven walks. Four different Red Raiders hit doubles and Ty Coleman blasted a two-run home run. Left fielder Zac Vooletich led all Texas Tech hitters with four RBIs.

The Red Raiders won the game 28-2.
