Texas Rangers Send Neftali Feliz to 15-Day Disabled List

The Texas Rangers have placed right-hander Neftali Feliz on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.

Texas recalled reliever Yoshinori Tateyama from Triple-A Round Rock to fill Feliz’s roster spot.

Feliz was sent to the DL Monday, just three days after walking five and throwing 51 balls among 100 pitches in a 4-1 win over Houston.

The 24-year-old is in his first season as a starter for Texas after spending the last two years as the closer. He is 3-1 with a 3.16 ERA so far this season.
