Texas Rangers Salvage Final Game of Series Against Cleveland Indians
The Texas Rangers avoided a three-game sweep against the Cleveland Indians Sunday afternoon by beating the Indians 5-1.
Mitch Moreland hit a two-run homer in the sixth and drove in a run on a double in the second. DH Prince Fielder also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rangers.
Rangers starter, Nick Martinez pitched five innings, allowing five hits and five walks but only one run. He upped his record to (3-0).
Shawn Tolleson, Tanner Scheppers and Ross Ohlendorf all pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen for Texas.
Monday night, the Rangers make their only trip to Fenway Park this season for a series against the Boston Red Sox.
