MLB.com reported yesterday, Soria, who has been recovering from Tommy John surgery, strained his pectoral muscle on the right side of his chest this past week.   The injury is likely to delay his Ranger debut at least another month.

You may remember Joakim Soria from his days with the Kansas City Royals where he spent five years as the closer, saving 160 games from 2007-2011 and was named to two All-Star teams.  The Rangers acquired him in the hopes that he would be able to fall into the role of the 8th inning setup man for Joe Nathan.

Although the Rangers bullpen can use all the help they can get; they have been rather impressive this season posting an ERA of 1.92. The ERA of 1.92 is good enough for first in the American League for relief pitchers.
