Jurickson Profar hit a go ahead home run in the eighth inning yesterday to give the Texas Rangers a 3-1 win over the Kansas City Royals in Arlington.

Rangers starter Yu Darvish pitched seven shutout innings in the win, but earned the no-decision. Joe Nathan earned his 17th save pitching a perfect ninth inning.

The Rangers have the day off as they travel east for a six-game road trip. The Rangers have three games at Fenway against the Boston Red Sox and three north of the border against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Rangers have a two-game lead over the Oakland A’s in the A.L. West.
