Wilson went 7 and 2/3rd innings while giving up 3 hits, no runs and getting 7 K’s.

Wilson gets the win and improves his record the 6 – 3 on the year. Neftali Feliz closed out the game in the 9th. Feliz now has 13 saves in 16 attempts and improves his impressive closer ERA to 1.25.

Wilson felt he could have gone the entire game, but he tweaked his ankle on a pitch. He said he wasn't hurt or tired just, "a little out of whack."

The Ranger scores came on big hits, both solo home runs. Typical outfielder Mitch Moreland was playing first last night and got first run of the game on a 419 foot solo homer in the 2nd. The other run came courtesy of Elvis Andrus in the 3rd. Andrus is now tied with reigning AL MVP Josh Hamilton with 3 home runs on the season.

The Rangers outscored the Indians 24 – 6 in the series.

The Rangers have now won 8 games in 9 outings and have had 3 shut outs in 5 games.

This is the Rangers first 4 game road sweep since at Minnesota in 1999. The last time they swept Cleveland in 4? August 1978. That is 2 years before Wilson was born.

The Rangers now start a 3 game home stand against the Detroit Tigers tonight at 7 o’clock. Matt Harrison will pitch if he passes a kidney stone. If he is unable to start then Dave Bush will start spot in his place.
