Texas Gas Prices Drop for the First Time in Three Months
Gas prices in the Lone Star State have dropped for the first time in several months.
Last week, the statewide average was $2.62 per gallon. This week, the price has dropped three cents to an average of $2.59.
Texas hasn’t seen its statewide average decrease since the beginning of February, when the average for a gallon of regular unleaded was just $1.97.
Nationwide gas prices have dropped as well from $2.89 last week to $2.88, just a one-cent decrease, but a decrease nonetheless.
In Lubbock, gas prices average $2.57 for a gallon of unleaded. That’s also just a one-cent decrease over last week.
