Second Game Room Robbery Suspect Arrested by Lubbock Police
The second suspect in Monday’s attempted game room robbery has been arrested. In the video above, Lubbock Police released the surveillance video showing moments before the shooting.
Lubbock Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 1800 block of 37th street where they located 20 year-old Jelani Ashley. Ashley took officers on a short pursuit by foot before he was taken into custody.
Ashley had an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery in connection to the Coyote Moon Game Room robbery.
Monday morning, police were called to the Coyote Moon Game Room, located at 39th Street and Avenue A, for a robbery. When police arrived, two suspects were seen attempting to leave the establishment, 20 year-old Isaac Jackson and Jelani Ashley.
Jackson pulled a gun on officers and officers fired hitting Jackson, resulting in critical injures. Jackson remains at University Medical Center, but is in custody for aggravated robbery.
Ashley has been booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. As of this time, bond has not been set.
