You've heard Wonderful Bob on the radio about a million times.
One of our favorite people, Wonderful Bob Shattuck, has passed away. Bob was an account executive with Townsquare Media, but more than that, he was an all-around radio guy.
You heard his trademark lisp on spots for Sonic Drive-In, Rise N Shine Donuts and others. (His lisp sure didn't stop him or hurt him.)
The first time I heard Bob was as part of the "Chuck & Bob" show. I remember I was in the gym at Brownfield High School and I was glad that there was a hint of civilization coming from Lubbock in 1979. I think I worked with Bob for at least 25+ years.
We had so many laughs and good times with Bob that it's impossible to even focus on one (except for the ones we tell to each other in private). Bob interacted with hundreds of clients and thousands upon thousands of listeners.
Bob will be missed greatly by our little staff and by all of our listeners across West Texas. We have put together a memorial Facebook page where everyone can share their Wonderful Bob stories.
