Federal prosecutors are saying that they need more time to prosecute Lubbock dentist Jason Paul White for crimes relating to child pornography.

Back in January of 2021, federal agents raided White's home and place of business. He was arrested and indicted afterwards.

It's reported that the Lubbock Police Department received a tip in late 2020 from two parents that claimed White had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with their underage children. It's said White provided adult sexual devices to three underage boys, as well as requested videos and sexually explicit content from the minors.

It's also alleged that White coerced a 16 year old into partially undressing at his ranch in Post, Texas.

Prosecutors said in a motion filed after normal business hours on Wednesday, March 3rd:

During the course of this investigation, additional victims have contacted law enforcement, and, consequently, the United States anticipates a Superseding Indictment will be forthcoming involving at least eight additional victims spanning the past 23 years.

Prosecutors said specifically that only a cell phone had been examined at length, while multiple other electronic devices had not yet been forensically processed.

Prosecutors went on to say:

In fact, upon information and belief, Defendant’s cell phone alone contains approximately 340,000 images and videos, approximately 139,000 text messages, approximately 53,000 emails, and approximately 42,000 items from his social networking applications that need to be thoroughly reviewed.

KAMC News reports that back in February, it was ruled that White would not be allowed to bond out of jail while the criminal charges remained pending. If convicted, White faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
