Plainview Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident in Hale County

A single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Hale County claimed the life of a Plainview man.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reports the crash happened at 12:25 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 70 and County Road R, approximately 2 miles west of Plainview.
Authorities say a 2000 Jeep Wrangler driven by 37-year-old James Harrison Hart was traveling west on the highway and at one point, crossed the eastbound lane, drove into the barrow ditch, and rolled the vehicle.
Hart was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
