The Phoenix Suns have signed former All-Star guard Michael Redd to a one-year contract.

Redd was in the final season of a six-year, $91 million deal he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2005.

He averaged 20 points in 11 seasons with Milwaukee.

The 6-foot-6 guard was the 43rd overall pick of the 2000 NBA draft but the Bucks, his only pro team.

Two injuries to Redd's left knee cost him large chunks of three straight seasons. He played in 33 games in 2008-09 and just 28 games combined in 2008-09 and 2009-10.
