Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Kliff Kingsbury each took a moment before the Red Raiders' game against Baylor Friday at AT&T Stadium to take a picture with Luke Siegel.

Luke's father Tim Siegel, former Texas Tech University tennis coach, posted the wonderful photo of Luke and Mahomes (seen below) on his Twitter page. The picture above shows Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury saying 'hi' to Luke on the sidelines.

Luke Siegel was involved in a golf cart accident in July 2015, which left him with a severe brain injury and has impacted his speech, movement and cognitive abilities. Since then, Luke has endured several surgeries and long, often painful physical therapy. Recently, he broke his leg - a setback his father said hit him hard, but hasn't stymied his hopes.

"This is another bump in the road. But if there is anyone who can and will bounce back.... It is my Luke. Our Luke," said Siegel.

Recently, The Siegels have started the Team Luke Foundation, where people can read more about Luke and make donations to help children with brain injuries. A GoFundMe account set up on behalf of the family to help cover medical costs following the accident raised more than $100,000.

The Siegel Family continually updates the public on Luke's journey via their Pray for Luke Siegel Facebook page.
