An off-duty officer says that they witnessed a shooting happened at a Lubbock Whataburger drive-thru on Saturday, October 9th.

KAMC News reports that the off-duty officer, from a different town, observed a Ford Mustang try to pull through the entrance to the Whataburger at 1702 19th Street. However, the line was long, so the Mustang was stuck, blocking the entrance.

A little bit later, the suspect is said to have driven up in a red vehicle and became aggressive after being stuck behind the Mustang. The suspect got out of their car and began arguing with the driver of the Mustang, and it's said that the incident became even more aggressive, to the point where a crowd began to form in the area.

At some point, the suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired 3 to 4 shots towards the driver of the Mustang. Immediately afterwards, the suspect got back into their vehicle and drove westbound, while the Mustang fled southbound on Avenue Q.

It wasn't specified whether or not anyone suffered any injuries, and as of Monday, October 11th, no arrests had been made.
