Austin Nursing Home Employee Accused of Assaulting Patient Who Wet Her Bed

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a north Austin nursing home employee.

KAMC News reports 44-year-old Carly Vondra is accused of hitting a 90-year-old woman who had wet her bed.

On May 12, Austin police were called to Gracy Woods Nursing Home, located at 12021 Metric Boulevard, for the report of an assault. A 90-year-old patient told her physical therapist that she had been assaulted by a nursing home employee during the night.

Vondra faces a charge of injury to a disabled individual, a second-degree felony. Her bond has been set at $20,000.
