NTS Tower in Lubbock to be Re-Developed by New Owners
The NTS Tower in downtown Lubbock is going to start redevelopment this fall into the Metro Tower Lofts by new owners.
KAMC News reports that the tower will hold 89 residential housing units with a mix of efficiency, one and two-bedroom lofts for lease.
Alison Blalock with WestMark Commercial/TCN Worldwide Real Estate says that NTS will remain on the second and third floors with their servers, and floors four through 18 will be apartments. NTS will also continue to use the roof for its communications equipment.
Construction is set to last until the fall of 2021, and historic aspects of the building are not going to be changed, according to Blalock.
The whole redevelopment is estimated to cost around $20 million.
Historical tax credits and housing tax credits will be used to finance this project.
