Norense Odiase Is a ‘REAL RR4L’ In Case You Had Any Doubts

The Basketball Tournament is a, well, basketball tournament, that happens every summer and features Alumni Teams and hired mercenaries who battle for a million dollar prize. TBT is held nationwide at eight regional sites that dwindle down in a tournament format to the legendary ending.

There are a lot of cool things about TBT, like the Elam ending, but the coolest feature has to be the alumni component of the rosters. Have you ever wondered what it would have been like if Keenan Evans was able to play with Jahmi'us Ramsey? Or if Justin Gray and Bryson Williams were teammates? You might get that chance now as Red Raiders are banding together to enter TBT this summer.

The group made it official last night using the name Air Raiders. Awesome name.

Then, on May 19th, they announced that Norense Odiase was the first player to be listed on the team roster.

Odiase then sent a TBT message to everyone and anyone listening.

The man knows how to get the people going. Texas Tech fans have always held Odiase in high regard, but his legend has only grown since he graduated from Texas Tech. He's returned to speak, he's come back for games, he's all over Twitter just being a fan of the current Red Raiders team and is always authentic.

That authenticity came out in the video above when he made a crack about players leaving the team before their eligibility is up to move on to another school.

When Beard left last year, both Kevin McCullar and Kyler Edwards had the hashtag #RR4L in their announcement tweets that they would return. Then, Edwards deleted it and transferred to Houston. By all accounts, Kevin McCullar is going to pull out of the NBA Draft process and is likely headed to Kansas. Those don't sound like RR4L, at least not to Norense Odiase, who closed his video by saying he was a "real Red Raider for life."
