Smithsonian Magazine's 14th Annual Museum Day is set for Saturday, September 22, and a couple of Lubbock County Museums are getting in on the fun.

The Buddy Holly Center, along with the Silent Wings Museum will be open to free of charge for Museum Day ticket holders.

From The Smithsonian:

The theme of this year’s Museum Day is Women Making History, honoring women in society who are trailblazers in the arts, sciences, innovation, and culture, and emboldening others to be pioneers as well. Museum Day represents a nationwide commitment to access, equity, and inclusion. Over 250,000 people downloaded tickets for last year’s event, and Museum Day 2018 is expected to attract more museumgoers than ever before.

You can get your FREE museum day tickets by visiting the Museum Day website.

The Buddy Holly Center and The Silent Wings Museum will be open on Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm. For more information call 806-775-3560.
