An all-inclusive, first-of-its-kind in Texas park is coming to Lubbock in 2022.

Milestones Development & Play Park is a place where every child is special and can play safely regardless of their ability level. Since it’s indoors, it also provides kids a place no matter the weather outside.

The park will be traditional, with outside and indoor play areas. It will also allow parents to connect with their children, other people like them, and allow all kids the opportunity to play together safely while embracing each other's unique gifts. No matter the age or a child’s special needs or abilities, everyone will be welcome there.

It will be about 20,000 square feet and include places for smaller children to play, a home structure that will be two stories tall, and a big jungle safari structure. It will have everything from a swinging drawbridge, rock wall, slides, and so much more.

You can see more about that on their website or the great detailed video below:

They already broke ground back in May at McAllister Park off Milwaukee Avenue and Marsha Sharp Freeway. They’ve started building the actual structure. They still have about $400,000 to raise to hit their goal of $6 million. Once they get that, they can buy the equipment for the play structures inside the park.

They’re still collecting donations. If you want to help directly, you can buy a t-shirt. All the sales help purchase the jungle safari play structure.

If you’d like to donate, contact their office at (806)701-5290 or cassie@alstromangels.org.
