Missing Snyder Man May Be in Lubbock Area, Please Be On the Lookout
According to KCBD, David Emerson Jr., a man missing from Snyder since December 2014 (yes, over two years), may be in the Lubbock area.
No information was given as to why they think David Emerson Jr. may be in Lubbock. This probably raises a few questions. Does he not want to be found? Is there foul play involved?
According to The Charley Project, a cold case missing persons page:
Emerson was last seen in Snyder, TX on December 24, 2014. He has never been heard from again. It is uncharacteristic for him to leave without warning; he kept in regular touch with his family. His mother reported him missing after she went to his house to check on him and found out he hadn't been there in three weeks. Few details are available in this case.
So we know that he was good about checking in, but the details are scarce and it seems like a couple vital bits of information are missing. It's possible certain details are not being released, as it would hinder any ongoing investigation.
A little more light is shed on his GoFundMe page: "David Emerson has been missing since 12/24/2014 and foul play is suspected by family." The money raised on the page is for a reward for anyone to come forward (and, of course, the family would appreciate any additional donations):
We have $1400.00 on the table for whomever comes forward leading to the location of David Emerson. Funds will be paid once successful investigation and/or prosecution are complete. Easy Money.
It seems as if the family suspects something terrible happened to Emerson, and yet he may be alive in Lubbock. It's pretty horrifying to think he is being held captive, or worse. I cannot imagine the sorrow and fear that would accompany missing a loved one for over two years.
Please, if you have any information about David Emerson, or if you see him, please call Snyder police at 325-573-2611.
