Methamphetamine Seized After Traffic Stop Near Shamrock, Texas
On Saturday (July 15), the Texas Department of Public Safety seized more than seven pounds of methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Wheeler County.
KAMC News reports a DPS Trooper stopped a 2016 Dodge Dart traveling east on I-40 near Shamrock for a traffic violation. During the stop, the trooper discovered seven vacuum-sealed packages of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. The methamphetamine seized is worth approximately $637,000 dollars.
The driver, 24-year-old Gilivaldo Gutierrez Torres of Phoenix, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a dangerous drug.
Torres was transported and booked into the Wheeler County Jail.
