The Red Raider basketball team has been the subject of much speculation over the offseason with what seemed like a revolving door of transfers, recruits, NBA draft announcements, overseas travel, and more. Immediately when the season was cut short at the Big 12 tournament the rumors began to swirl about who would return and what new grad transfers the Red Raiders would add before this season.

All of the rumor, speculation, and guesswork can now be laid to rest after Chris Beard released the 2020-21 roster on texastech.com.

The 14-man roster features seven returners and seven newcomers. The returners include Kyler Edwards, Avery Benson, Kevin McCullar, Terrence Shannon, Jr., Clarence Nadolny, Joel Ntambwe, and Tyreek Smith. The newcomers are VCU grad-transfer Marcus Santos-Silva, Witchita State transfer Jamarius Burton, Georgetown transfer Mac McClung, and freshmen Chibuzo Agbo, Nimari Burnett, Vladislav Goldin, Micah Peavy.

That means Chris Clarke, TJ Holyfield, Jahmi'us Ramsey, Davide Moretti, Andrei Savrasov and Russell Tchewa are all off the roster. Another notable name not on the roster is Esahia Nyiwe who had been announced as a transfer from Clarendon College back in May.

While things could theoretically change between now and the start of the season, especially if the Pac 12 cancels their basketball season, this will most likely be the roster that takes the court this season.
