Mac's Bar-B-Q & Catering in Lubbock will open soon at 5412 Slide Road Suite #100, the former location of a Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Mac's Bar-B-Q is set to open sometime before the New Year, according to comments made by the owners in a Facebook post about the new Lubbock location. We caught up with Wes Webb, a managing partner with Mac's, who told us he's aiming to open the restaurant in mid-December.

Mac’s began in Brady, Texas and has been a favorite with locals and hunters alike for over three decades. And now we’ve started expanding to other Texas towns, serving up that slow-smoked, Central Texas style barbecue that folks from all over have come to love.

The Lubbock restaurant will be the third Mac's Bar-B-Q, which originated in Brady, Texas and also has a Midland location. The menu should also be very similar to the Brady and Midland locations. The Midland menu is extensive, with breakfast, tacos, bbq bowls, desserts, cocktail drinks, beer and, of course, traditional barbecue fare.

Mac's Bar-B-Q is also a caterer, and Midland and Brady are currently offered a selection of meats for holiday catering like turkey and ham. The Lubbock location may also carry their Saturday dinners, which include ribeye and quail. Fancy!
