Like many other cities Lubbock keeps growing and expanding with buildings and businesses but what about places for children to be able to go and play. Milestones Development and Play Park is actually a place for kids in all stages of growing up to be able to come and just be a kid.

Milestones will be the first indoor park in West Texas that will be bringing the outdoors inside. The reason for this is so that children can play inside when the weather won't allow them to be outside such as extreme heat, cold, and even those West Texas winds.

KAMC news reported that the park has experienced some delays when it comes to the construction of the facility such as lack of supplies. With the delays that has not stopped the success that the new park is set to have as they get closer to their projected grand opening in the Spring of this year. There will be six different areas to the park with certain themes to them such as Candy Land, Infant Patch (for younger children), and even a Rock Wall

The construction of the park is a personal project of Alstrom Angels, which is a non-profit that raises funds for medical research of the rare Alstrom Syndrome. The park is still taking donations from different places such as Covenant Children's Hospital, First United Bank, and the Blue Star Foundation who will all be honored inside of the park.

Alstrom Angels will be having a special Night For Angels Benefit event that will be held at Mcalister Park. This event will have live music, raffles, auctions and of course plenty of food trucks. Tickets can be purchased here in advance or at the door at the day of the event for an additional $10 and a drink package can be purchased for certain unlimited drinks.
