Lubbock Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Coleman

Texas DPS is reporting a Lubbock woman died in a single-vehicle car crash Monday (Oct. 8) near Coleman.

Texas DPS says 48-year-old Casey Kester Herrin was traveling west on State Highway 153, west of Coleman. Herrin veered into a ditch and struck a guardrail, continued to hit a drainage embankment, causing the vehicle to become airborne.

Herrin died at the scene. Officials are still investigating.
